Being a language teacher is fun and a great privilege. I have been teaching
for more than ten years now, and I am still looking forward to meeting new students. I enjoy talking to my classes or having a nice cup of tea with my private students.
There has been a rumour that what I like most is giving a lot of homework,
but that’s not true. There’s one thing I like even more: Grammar. ;-)

Hi,
I'm Gisela.
I was born in Flushing N.Y., USA. I spent almost all my school years in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. For the past 20 years, I've been living in Winterthur, the last six of which I have been working at the Sprachzentrum. Why am I teaching "American" English? Because I enjoy working with people, bringing home the customs and idiosyncracies of my country and because I love the concept of languages. Besides, it keeps me on my toes in my native tongue!
I look forward to seeing you in one of our many courses at the sprachzentrum!

My name is Franca. I was born and grew up in Trinidad. I moved to Britain as a teenager where I spent my informative years. I did my teaching Certificate CELTA in the UK and have been actively teaching since. I have an inquisitive mind and was blessed with a sense of humour. I have been working at the Sprach Zentrum since 1999. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and some of the classes are a source of inspiration and keep me on my toes.
Your views and opinions are important. I look forward to seeing you at the sprachzentrum.

Hola, me llamo María Luisa.

Hi I’m Brigitt.
I have spent many years in the USA and learned a new way of life.
After my return to Switzerland I couldn’t let go of the English language. So
I started to teach. I like not only to teach the language, but also I like
to explain the Anglo-Saxon culture which I appreciate a lot. I’m looking
forward seeing you at the sprachzentrum.

Have you ever been lost for words? Nora will help you find them.
I came to Switzerland in 1978. Whilst working in gastronomy and then in marketing and sales correspondence. I experienced how many people loved the English language, and wanted to be able to command it. That nudged me to retrain myself. 'Now or never' I said. I thoroughly enjoyed helping people out with their problems. Translated papers for them, conversed with them to refresh their English. It was rewarding, appreciation, their smiling faces. I knew that I would not regret attending the ADA – Sweb 1 course, and have been teaching English to adults since then. Now to you, tune in and join us. You wont regret it either.

Ciao!
… E tu? Sono curiosa di conoscere il tuo motivo. Ti aspetto allo sprachzentrum!

Hello my name’s Ross.
I was born and bred in the big city lights of London. After spending many years slaving away in front of a computer and coping with the endless train delays, I decided to take the big jump and go travelling for a year. Well, that experience changed my life in many ways. I not only became a qualified English teacher but I also met my Swiss wife! After some years teaching in Asia, we decided to come home and settle down.
I am strong believer of not just telling students what is correct but to involve them in the learning process. I like my classes to be active, full of laughter and for the students to attend with pleasure. I look forward to ‘experiencing’ the English language with you.
